House System

The principal role of the House System is to encourage the children to feel they belong to a school community bigger than just their own class/year group.

All the children in each class across the school are split into one of four houses – Red/Yellow/Blue or Green. Children are awarded house points to reward and promote positive behaviour. The points are added weekly
to their individual House total.

Many school events, including our Sports Day and KS2 Swimming Gala, are held as competitions between the Houses, meaning that teams which cross all the year groups compete against each other.
This helps the younger pupils to feel very much a part of the bigger school.
