Policy Quality Assurance Process

Policies are written by school leaders and teachers with responsibility for the school development area or specific subject area for that policy. The school leader or teacher will write the policy using all or a combination of the latest national guidance, Ofsted Handbook, recognised best practice, and their own expertise of the area, as well as the latest available research.

Following this, the school governing body ensures the regular review and ratification of policies. Statutory policies are reviewed and ratified annually, non-statutory policies every three years. Policies are reviewed on a rolling schedule across the year.
